Hosting Information

Give an exchange student an experience of a lifetime by becoming a host family. 

Haddonield Japan Exchange will welcome students from Sendai International High School for two weeks from July 17-31, 2026. We are actively seeking host families and thank you for your interest in hosting a Japanese student! Our past families have loved showing them around the U.S. and the students are always polite and appreciative. 

WHY HOST?

• Many of our host families form lifelong bonds with their exchange students. 

• Haddonfield students who host get to share in excursions like Philadelphia and the Jersey Shore with their new Japanese friends. 

• Hosting students are also given priority status in the travel applications the following year.

ELIGIBILITY

• Family must have at least one child in high school in 2026 and reside in Haddonfield

• Students in between the summer of 8th and 9th grade are eligible

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Provide a bed, meals, and transportation to and from the Haddonfield Memorial High School and HJE activities.
